U.S. Representative, Alabama District 2
Represents the district in the U.S. House of Representatives, which writes federal laws, approves the federal budget and taxes, and oversees the executive branch.
2-year term. Under the congressional map the Alabama Legislature adopted in May 2026, which the U.S. Supreme Court allowed to be used on June 2, 2026, the district covers much of the Wiregrass region of southeastern Alabama (including Coffee and Dale counties) along with Montgomery County, Lowndes County and part of Elmore County. Nominees were chosen in an Aug. 11, 2026 special primary after the May 19 primary results for this district were voided. No independent or minor-party candidate was certified for this race.
