- Fri, October 2, 2026: Counties may begin mailing ballotsColorado mails a ballot to every active registered voter. Counties must mail them by Oct. 9.
- Mon, October 12, 2026: Drop boxes must begin accepting ballotsSome counties open drop boxes earlier. Drop boxes accept ballots through 7 p.m. on Election Day.
- Mon, October 19, 2026: In-person voting begins at voter service and polling centersLocations and hours vary by county; check your county clerk.
- Mon, October 26, 2026: Last day to register or update your registration and still be mailed a ballot; last recommended day to mail your ballotAlso the last recommended day to return a ballot by mail; after this, use a drop box or voter service and polling center. You can still register and vote in person through Election Day.
- Tue, November 3, 2026: Election DayVoter service and polling centers are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mail ballots must be received by your county clerk (by drop box, in person, or mail) by 7 p.m.; postmarks do not count. Same-day registration is available in person.
