Key dates
- Mon, October 5, 2026: Voter registration deadlineLast day to register or update registration, by 11:59 p.m.
- Wed, October 7, 2026: Early voting beginsEarly ballots are mailed starting this day.
- Fri, October 23, 2026: Last day to request an early (mail) ballotRequests must be received by the county recorder by 5 p.m.
- Tue, October 27, 2026: Recommended last day to mail back an early ballotMail at least seven days before Election Day; after this, return it to a drop box or voting location instead.
- Tue, November 3, 2026: Election DayPolls open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time. Early ballots must be received by 7 p.m.; they can be dropped off at a drop box or polling place until then.
