The short version

You don't need an account to use SparkVotes, and we never ask who you plan to vote for. The county and city you pick to find your district are saved only in your own browser, so the page remembers them next time. They are not sent to us.

Email newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address and, if you choose to share them, your state and county. We use them only to send the SparkVotes newsletter, including election information for where you live. Our email provider, Kit, stores the list for us. We never sell or share it, and we never ask about or record your political views. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to have your information deleted.

Advertising and cookies

SparkVotes shows ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to SparkVotes and other sites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and reliability. We don't sell personal information.

Links to other sites

Candidate profiles link to sources and campaign websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
