Governor
The governor is Colorado's chief executive, who proposes the state budget, signs or vetoes legislation, and appoints the heads of state agencies.
4-year term. Open seat: no incumbent is running. Incumbent Gov. Jared Polis (D) is term-limited. The governor and lieutenant governor are elected jointly on one ticket. Seven tickets are printed on the ballot.

Hamilton is a truck driver running as the American Constitution Party nominee for governor. In a 2026 candidate survey he said his priorities are lowering taxes, cutting federal programs he considers unnecessary, and opposing Denver's sanctuary-city policies.

Former U.S. Representative, Colorado's 4th District (2024–2025)Running mate: Taralyn Romero (Lieutenant Governor)
Lopez is an Air Force veteran, former mayor of Parker and former Colorado director of the U.S. Small Business Administration who served in Congress from June 2024 to January 2025 after winning a special election. He ran for governor as a Republican in 2018 and 2022 and left the party in January 2026 to run unaffiliated. His campaign focuses on starter homes, government efficiency, public safety and energy costs.

Marx is a Marine Corps veteran and founder of All Things Possible Ministries, a Christian organization that says it delivers trauma relief and medical aid to victims of terrorism, trafficking and violence. He is a first-time candidate who won a three-way Republican primary in June 2026. His campaign focuses on affordability, public safety, cutting state taxes and fees, auditing state agencies, and parental involvement in education.

Small business owner and private security contractor; Army veteranRunning mate: Wayne Harlos (Lieutenant Governor)
Mulder is an Army veteran, small business owner and private security contractor from Aurora who has run for Arapahoe County sheriff, the U.S. House and the state House. His campaign focuses on letting struggling counties keep state sales tax revenue, limits on government access to surveillance footage, and a diverse energy supply.
Jeff Peckman
Entrepreneur and authorRunning mate: T.J. Cole (Lieutenant Governor)
Peckman is an entrepreneur and author who won the Unity Party primary in June 2026 and says his campaign is self-funded. His platform centers on what he calls "coherence" in government, cutting air pollution with new technologies, and graphene research and manufacturing.

Owner and patent holder, Vurbil AI technologyRunning mate: Frank Atwood (Lieutenant Governor)
Underwood is a technology business owner who sought the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in 2020 and is the Approval Voting Party nominee for governor. His campaign platform includes lower-cost home loans, universal health care, free college and trade school, voting at 16, and ending TABOR.
Phil Weiser
Colorado Attorney General (since 2019)Running mate: Lesley Dahlkemper (Lieutenant Governor)
Weiser is Colorado's term-limited attorney general and a former dean of the University of Colorado Law School who worked in the Clinton and Obama administrations. He defeated U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet in the June 2026 Democratic primary. His campaign focuses on housing costs, K-12 education, youth mental health, reforming TABOR, and challenging federal actions he considers unlawful.
