Key dates

  • Fri, October 2, 2026: Absentee ballots begin going out
    No excuse is needed to vote absentee in 2026. Ballots are mailed to voters with an approved application.
  • Fri, October 16, 2026: Voter registration deadline
    In person by 8 p.m., online by 11:59 p.m., or by mail postmarked by this date. After that, use Same Day Registration.
  • Mon, October 19, 2026: Early in-person voting begins
    Daily through Nov. 1, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. hours on Oct. 27 and Oct. 29. Same Day Registration is available during early voting.
  • Sun, November 1, 2026: Last day of early in-person voting
    There is no early voting on Monday, Nov. 2.
  • Mon, November 2, 2026: Last day to hand-deliver your own absentee ballot to the town clerk
    It must reach the town clerk's office by close of business.
  • Tue, November 3, 2026: Election Day
    Polls open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Same Day Registration is available at your town's designated location. Absentee ballots sent by mail or drop box must be received by the town clerk by 8 p.m. (a postmark is not enough).
