2-year term. The district lies in southern Miami-Dade County and includes part of the city of Miami, Coral Gables, Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay; its lines changed little under the 2026 map.

Former anchor, CBS News MiamiEliott Rodriguez is a former television journalist who anchored at CBS News Miami for about 25 years before retiring in December 2025, and this is his first run for office. His campaign focuses on the cost of living, protecting Social Security and Medicare, immigration policy and government accountability.
María Elvira Salazar
U.S. Representative, Florida District 27 (since 2021)María Elvira Salazar is a Republican and former television journalist first elected to the House in 2020. Her campaign highlights support for small businesses, federal funding for local health, environmental and public safety projects, and opposition to authoritarian governments in Latin America.
