Represents the district in the U.S. House of Representatives, which writes federal laws, approves the federal budget and taxes, and oversees the executive branch.
2-year term. Iowa's congressional map, in use since 2023, was not redrawn for 2026. The district covers southeast Iowa, including Scott, Johnson, Clinton, Muscatine, Des Moines, Lee, Jasper, Marion and Warren counties and the cities of Davenport, Iowa City, Burlington and Indianola. Michael Bridgford appears on the ballot as a no-party candidate.
