Key dates

  • Fri, October 9, 2026: Voter registration deadline
    Registration is due by 5 p.m. If you miss it, you can still register and vote the same day at an early voting site from Oct. 15 to Oct. 31.
  • Thu, October 15, 2026: Early voting begins
    In-person early voting runs through Oct. 31 at early voting sites in your county; same-day registration is available during this period.
  • Tue, October 20, 2026: Absentee ballot request deadline
    Requests are due by 5 p.m. Any registered voter may vote by mail; no excuse is needed.
  • Sat, October 31, 2026: Last day of early voting
    Early voting ends at 3 p.m.
  • Tue, November 3, 2026: Election Day
    Polls open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mail ballots must be received by your county board of elections by 7:30 p.m.; the former three-day grace period for postmarked ballots no longer applies. Voters are asked to show photo ID.
