Governor
The governor is Oklahoma's chief executive, who oversees state agencies, proposes the state budget, signs or vetoes bills and makes appointments to state boards and courts.
4-year term. Open seat: no incumbent is running. Open seat: Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) is term-limited. Oklahoma elects its lieutenant governor separately, so there is no joint ticket. Mike Mazzei won the Aug. 25 Republican runoff over Attorney General Gentner Drummond, and Cyndi Munson won the June 16 Democratic primary. Three independent candidates are also on the ballot; no Libertarian filed for governor.

Robert E. Brooks Sr.
Insurance brokerRobert Brooks is a Moore insurance broker and former police officer, sheriff's deputy, firefighter and EMT running for governor as an independent under the banner of his "Farmer Servant" movement. His central proposal is a "People's App" through which registered voters would weigh in on bills, and he says he would sign or veto legislation according to the majority.
Orlando Lynn Bush of Edmond is an independent candidate for governor. SparkVotes could not find a campaign website or published platform.
Jerry Griffin
Physician and authorJerry Griffin is a Tulsa physician and author of three books running for governor as an independent. His campaign says his platform centers on health care access, educational equity, economic opportunity for working families and integrity in state government.
Mike Mazzei
Chairman and CEO, Trinity Strategic Wealth; former state senatorMike Mazzei is a Tulsa financial planner who served 12 years in the Oklahoma Senate, including as Finance Committee chairman, and as Gov. Kevin Stitt's secretary of budget. He won the Republican nomination in an Aug. 25, 2026 runoff and is campaigning on phasing out the state income tax, ending property taxes for seniors and veterans, childhood literacy and restricting foreign ownership of land.
Cyndi Munson
Minority Leader, Oklahoma House of Representatives (District 85)Cyndi Munson is an Oklahoma City state representative who has served in the Oklahoma House since 2015 and led its Democratic caucus since 2022; she was the first Asian American woman elected to the Oklahoma House. She won the June 2026 Democratic primary and is campaigning on public school funding and teacher pay, tax relief for working families, health care costs and a public vote to repeal the state's abortion ban.
