Federal race · November 3, 2026

U.S. Senate

U.S. senators serve six-year terms and vote on federal legislation, confirm presidential nominees and approve treaties.

6-year term. Open seat: no incumbent is running. Regular election for a full six-year term in the seat formerly held by Markwayne Mullin (R), who resigned in March 2026 to become U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security. Gov. Kevin Stitt appointed Alan Armstrong (R) to serve in the interim; under state law the appointee may not seek the seat, and Armstrong is not on the ballot. Kevin Hern won the June 16 Republican primary, and N'Kiyla Jasmine Thomas won the Aug. 25 Democratic runoff. Libertarian Sevier White and independents Curtis Stinnett and Ron Meinhardt are also on the ballot.
