    Key dates

    • Fri, October 16, 2026: Ballots mailed
      Washington votes by mail. Counties must mail ballots no later than 18 days before Election Day, and the 18-day voting period begins.
    • Mon, October 26, 2026: Online and mail registration deadline
      Last day to register or update your address online or by mail (mailed forms must be received by the county). After this date, register in person at a county voting center through Election Day.
    • Tue, November 3, 2026: Election Day
      Same-day registration and in-person voting at county voting centers until 8 p.m. Ballots placed in an official drop box by 8 p.m. are on time. The Secretary of State recommends mailing a ballot more than a week before Election Day; after that, use a drop box.
