U.S. Representative, New York District 3
Represents the district in the U.S. House of Representatives, which writes federal laws, approves the federal budget and taxes, and oversees the executive branch.
2-year term. The district covers much of Nassau County's North Shore (including Glen Cove, the Town of North Hempstead and parts of the towns of Oyster Bay and Hempstead), northeastern Queens neighborhoods such as Whitestone, Little Neck and Douglaston, and a small part of Suffolk County. New York is using the same congressional map as in 2024 after the U.S. Supreme Court on March 2, 2026 paused a state court order to redraw the Staten Island-based 11th District. Suozzi appears on the Democratic line, and LiPetri appears on the Republican and Conservative lines. Both won their June 23, 2026 primaries. No other candidate was certified for this race.

Mike LiPetri
Attorney; former New York State Assemblyman (2019–2020)Mike LiPetri is an attorney and former one-term state assemblyman from Long Island who was the Republican nominee for this seat in 2024 and is running again. His campaign focuses on tax relief, support for police, border enforcement and water quality.
Tom Suozzi
U.S. Representative, New York District 3 (since 2024; also 2017–2023)Tom Suozzi is a former Nassau County executive and Glen Cove mayor seeking another term in the U.S. House, where he co-chairs the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus. His campaign centers on a five-point "American Affordability Plan" covering tariffs, federal debt, energy costs and health care.
